I remember being impressed by a friend at University who would do:-

copy CON: reboot.com

and then enter 8 or 9 bytes (some via ALT+keypad) all from memory.

(There are ways to do it in just 2 bytes I believe, this isn't about reboot.com golf anyway...)



See also the EICAR Standard Anti-Virus Test File[0], which is a valid MS-DOS .com file composed of only printable ASCII characters. Granted, its output isn't nearly as pretty as the one in the video, but it's still a neat trick.
