I thought the singularity just meant that technological change was so rapid that it ceased to have meaning.

I feel like we might be there today. I'm not sure what could be engineered tomorrow that would surprise me meaningfully.

If someone says that they have a working fusion reactor, I'd just be like, "Geez, finally. What the hell took so long?"
