During a discussion about the Rwandan genocide, you would not say, "I guess the Tutsi found out that invading a nation and assassinating its president is a pretty bad idea" unless you supported the Rwandan genocide, during which the actions of a small Tutsi rebel group were used to justify slaughtering hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians.
It's not coy to parrot the excuses which governments make for butchering children. It's disgusting.
