Erm, apart from the bit where you, you know, own the property meaning you can put pictures on the wall, and that's just the start... But I've always said, if you have no desire to use the benefits of owning (ie. modifying it), then it's more of a liability as now you have to pay for repairs etc.

Maybe, just maybe, those benefits are not as big as the house ownership social class has made us believe it is? Put pictures on the wall.
