Honestly, I'm not sure - I didn't even know such a thing existed. I reinstalled it a long time ago, and it had gotten a bit sluggish by then anyway.

Yes, the app transfer option is artificially blocked, so there is a way to unblock it and proceed the install as thought it were a regular same-edition update
