Configuring a LaTex environment in a new computer was a pain for me. This took that pain away. But I still can't type in Portuguese, with 'áàãç' (without escaping and coding everything). That would be a killer feature for me.

I think it may help if you include this package: \usepackage[utf8x]{inputenc} Does that work?
