So let me get this right, they discovered a mistake. Fixed the mistake. Then that is suddenly newsworthy as if they are misleading someone somewhere?

This is a good thing, they are being honest.

The US budget for 2024 was $6.8T [0], and apparently all of DOGE's actives combined have saved us about $150B [1], or about 2% of the annual budget.

For that 2% savings Trump and Elon wrecked the Agency for International Development (USAID), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Department of Education (ED), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), National Endowment for Democracy (NED), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Social Security Administration (SSA), and US Postal Service (USPS) [2]. That doesn't seem like a good deal to me.
