It could also run Windows 3.1, but could not run the most famous Windows of all time (3.11 for workgroups).

If memory serves, RAM was my reason why I couldn't. Not so easy to upgrade as it is today. I tried it once or twice, using some HDD utility at the time that partitioned off some space for RAM like a modern day swap file.. and it did not go well.
