I used to hear that cryptocurrency derived technologies (Smart Contracts, dApps, DAOs, NFTs, etc) would be useful for so many things, but I feel like I have never really seen these claims materialize.

Is anyone aware of real-world, legitimate, and useful uses of any of these technologies?

If you do provide an example, I would also be curious about what value would be lost if the use-case were built using traditional technologies.
