Texas DMV That Lets People Drive Imported Trucks Again (theautopian.com)

Not really news, because they can come in anyways as long as they are 30 years old 'historical vehicles'. I don't see Texas actually doing anything here.

A handful of states were nixing registrations of these mini trucks at the DMV level. Some states passed laws to ban them, some just left people stuck in a weird grey area within the bureaucratic quagmire with no way to actually legally get it on the road.

I'm glad to see states officially legalize them. Having some form of alternative to the current gigantic pickup trucks will hopefully provide the tiniest data point to shake some sense into the auto industry.

There are at least 9 compact pickup truck models available in the US. Consumers aren't forced to purchase the larger models. They overwhelmingly choose to.
