It felt like most of the people really wanted to sound like they were using this fancy new tech while making sure people didn’t think it replaced them in any way. I feel like reaching out to non-management would have gotten better on-the-ground experiences, both good and bad.
The other interesting thing is how reliant on midjourney companies seemed to be, despite local options giving the tools to have way more control over the product. The one example was not being able to get someone to float through prompting. That would not have been an issue with a local option using controlnet, inpainting ir img2img. If agencies aren’t using something like the comfyui krita extension, they are seriously missing out on the potential of this tech.
