I still facepalm everytime someone excitedly demonstrates how they used ChatGPT to turn a nice concise message into a wall of PR fluff, as if that's some victory. I get that for some types of writing this is unfortunately beneficial, but for routine transactional emails (especially with internal colleagues), I think 90% of people would much prefer brevity and plain language

But you can distill a wall of PR fluff to a concise message with ChatGPT... The problem is the average user thinks "long text = good" and their bosses often agree.
