I mean, no matter what people say about what happened, or what actually did, one can paint this picture:

- Microsoft embraces OpenAI

- Microsoft extends OpenAI

- OpenAI gets extinguished, and Microsoft ends up controlling it.

First three points are solid and, intent or not, end result is the same.
