I use a kinda hacky bit of JS to do a number of actions based on the current URL. I create bookmarks like this, and set a keyword (this one is 'gt', for Google Translate):

  javascript:location="https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=&sl=auto&tl=en&u="+location
On any page, I can type ctrl-L (select address bar), gs, enter, and I get the page translated to English.
