There's one element that Chhesecake Factory shares with Texas Roadhouse, another exceptionally popular restaurant -- extremely good, fresh bread and rolls served up in big portions as soon as you order.
Texas Roadhouse and Cheesecake Factory both have large physical locations which are always packed, while lots of other restaurants have dead sections for much of the day. They also both locate their restaurants in specific areas. CF tends to be in or near upscale malls and shopping centers, while TR is often in deep suburbs that are mostly lined with only fast food, where it's actually the most expensive restaurant in the area.
As a lifelong resident of the Dallas area (Garland, Richardson, Plano, Addison, Dallas, Sachse, back to Dallas, and now Allen), I think Cheesecake Factory is successfully splitting the difference between Bucca di Beppo and Texas Roadhouse :)
