Presumably every UPS driver receives a range of rates based on their schedule and other factors (e.g. holidays, overtime).

So the average top rate would be the average of the top end rate amongst all drivers.


Oh, got it. I thought it was the average of a trimmed set, i.e. the average that their top-paid drivers make.


A compensation number that overlaps neatly with posted ranges for full-stack engineers located in San Francisco.
