Elon Musk says Twitter’s ad revenue has dropped by 50 percent (engadget.com)

Story so far:

1. 6 months earlier: Everyone hates free speech that's why our ads dropped by 50%.

2. 3 months ago: Advertisers are all back, we're on track to be cash flow positive in 3 months.

3. Now: Psych, we're still cash flow negative. Also advertisers never came back, really.

No surprise when the CEO is a vandal.

Also, the other comment was wrongly flagged.

You can vouch for it: click on the time and the "vouch" button is at the top of the comment. I don't know hw many vouches it takes to deflag a comment.

It's almost as if engaging with tweets from foreign propaganda machine doesn't boost confidence in the platform nor Musk himself.

Is anyone surprised by this? After all the foolish moves Musk made with Twitter, I wonder why any advertisers stick with it.

You get a lot of dropshipping, rightwing content and sometimes outright scams. The advertisers that stick with it have come for the kind of audience that makes up the loud part of Twitter now.

You can tell a lot about a media's users/viewers by the ads they show.

There are also few big ones that advertise to avoid ruining relationship with Elon and his companies. Like Disney and Apple. But they've reduced presence.
