Ford launches hands-free driving on UK motorways (bbc.co.uk)

I can't help but worry that this is the UK government making a poor decision in the desperation to look like they're doing something. This whole "You don't need your hands on the wheel BUT DONT LOSE FOCUS FOR A MINUTE!" is just dumb. This is from the same government that bought us "smart" motorways - motorways with no hard shoulders, so when you break down a lorry will smash into the back of you, turning you into an extremely safe bio-degradable paste.

I think what's worse is the "hands free driving" is "free for 90 days and then a subscription".

The creep of subscriptions in cars should not be a thing.
