Seriously. According to [1] rent in Calgary has increased 39% (!!) compared to last year. Still below Toronto and Vancouver, but pretty ridiculous.

That’s all the people who have had to leave Vancouver and Toronto… Toronto’s figure is 24%. Yikes.

You could argue that Alberta is just undervalued, which is probably true… but not exactly a good consolation for people who were already struggling to get by before 2022.
