I'm a backend/DevTools/data software engineer and leader with more than 10+ years of experience, but I want to expand my skills and do iOS/macOS development. So I'm happy to trade some lower compensation for the opportunity to cross-train.
Over my career, I've worked all over backend stacks. Still, while building my language learning app, I realized I hadn't worked directly on (external) customer-facing applications or directly with product/sales/marketing.
This means I've worked on significant projects with ambiguous requirements entirely architected and designed by myself or my team so that I can work with little supervision. But on the other hand, UI and UX were entirely up to us, and our customers didn't have a choice to switch tools. I'm looking to get experience with working to iteratively build more intuitive and engaging UI/UX with designers, product managers, marketing/sales, etc.
Regarding my iOS/Xcode skills, I am confident enough to hit the ground running and continue ramping up while providing value with my other engineering talents. And while I don't have any apps in the App Store, I have experience with signing, certificates, and provisioning.
