Nowdays, even unencrypted email can be private, thanks to opportunistic encryption.

Not when you're using Gmail of course.



Opportunistic encryption only encrypts mail transport between mail servers. Both the sending and receiving servers can read the plaintext.


As long as both parties run their own mailservers, it's cool!
