Lacking apparent empathy is not narcissism. It doesn't even mean he doesn't have empathy, in fact. 2. If he admitted that management had made mistakes it would affect the stock price.

Lacking empathy is one of the major characteristics or symptoms of narcissistic personality disorders.

I think it is a weird semantical argument to say someone could have empathy but never showcase it.
