I certainly agree that it's incredibly patronizing to be "well actually'd". Sure the person doing it is acting like Brainy Smurf. They're also frequently detailing your original intent to draw attention to themself.

I'm not sure if I follow the context of this post though. So you might want some kind of a summary. I won't phase this as a well actually statement though...
