I have spent well over $1000 on mechanical keyboards over the last decade, which isn't much compared to some real hobbyists, but I feel I've got enough experience to have an opinion on things.
Earlier this year I realized I like low profile, scissor switch keyboards better than expensive mechanical keyboards. I type faster on them and find them much more comfortable. I don't know what's wrong with me. I do know that I can't find a good low profile keyboard anywhere, because everyone is just making mechanical now.
