Well, vaccines based on a single aspect - the spike are weaker than a natural infection immune response, but of course the patient suffers the disease which stimulates the immune system with all the carried detritus of an infection = a more comprehensive immunity. I suspect later rNA based Covid vaccines will add some of this detritus code to broaden the response? This will complicate testing, but will improve the vaccines.
