I wonder how much pressure Evernote is experiencing from Notion and the latest generation of productivity/collab tools? Any here who has jumped from Evernote to another tool, why?

I jumped from Evernote to a directory of text files, and from there to Bear.

Bear is exactly what I want, more or less - a Markdown notes app. Fairly minimalistic but what's there is well refined.

The only downside is that it's MacOS/iOS/iPadOS only and it syncs via iCloud. For me that's not an issue at the moment but obviously, that could be a real problem.

However, the export feature is very complete and robust. So, I do not feel trapped.

I wish there was an easy way to export my data out of their silos. I am so ready to ditch Evernote which I once could not live without.
