Build a Raspberry Pi Linux System the Hard Way (rickcarlino.com)

This is a nice tutorial. You learn a lot when you do things starting with the fundamentals.

I went through similar things to get openwrt running on a raspberry pi. Turns out you can pull it off if you just follow along step by step, and afterwards you have ideas.

EDIT: wait, this other article is awesome too:

Good post, thanks! If you are wondering, this is about bringing up a Linux env and not about building the actual RBPi embedded/HW system.

A very nice tutorial. Looks like based on this it should also be possible to follow the LFS book, if desired.

Tongue in cheek

Ahh rewrite it in rust, that’s hard mode on https://github.com/rust-embedded/rust-raspberrypi-OS-tutoria...

Using Busybox httpd this could quickly be turned into simple web server.

Looks cool but I Thought the hard way would be starting from binary and writing my own bootloader and OS
