We can argue about the merits of puritanical mores, but this is hardly the same. It's hard to twist "stupid or worthless person" into sexual innuendo to harass speakers (or listeners).

A word meaning stupid/worthless/bad natured person can only be used to harass people, that's its entire purpose. Besides, the assumption that only sexual insults matter is a US-centric cultural view. That's why it's such a common observation in Europe that in American culture there's no problem with depicting blood and gore but everyone freaks out over nipples, which doesn't seem to make any sense.

The point I'm making here is that it's perfectly possible for millions of adults to use a tool with an offensive name without causing a big fuss and demanding everyone change everything. These constant word battles over software identifiers is toxic and immature.
