Is there a need for .Net anymore?

Even Microsoft proved that they could build a featurific program without .Net, in VSCode. It’s an electron and JavaScript application. And, they were able to make it run everywhere.

Yes, it’s obviously needed, especially with the introduction of .Net Core. And seriously, comparing C# or F# with JavaScript is ridiculous. Typescript on the other hand is quite good, but its compiled JavaScript performance is much worse than .Net.

You can make everything in anything, and it doesn't prove anything!
