I have been using an iPad for over 10 years, am a huge fan.

But it’s disingenuous to compare benchmarks for single threaded performance between the ipad and macbook.

I can’t do any ‘very’ serious productivity work on the ipad that requires multiple apps, period. (try moving a photo between multiple photo-editing apps, ha.)

I hope that is just a ‘feature’ of iOS, or else macOS will suffer greatly as people leave it for more productivity based OS’s.

This is not at all disingenuous. The fact that the environment in an iPad is restrictive versus a general-purpose computer is not particularly related to the performance of the processor powering each. There is no reason to think that (when the environment allows it) the performance of more “serious” apps will not be equivalent.
