Interesting that they save on ham by using fish! In Germany & Austria it's the opposite, pork is super cheap and fish is expensive (they don't use ground pork to fake fish products tho).


But they save on fish by mixing it with fluor (Fischstäbchen)


Isn't that just battered (like schnitzel)? If you buy actual fish you get just fish.


Yes, but when I checked the label, I was surprised how little fish there is.

Apparently that is the minimal amount of fish they can use and still call it Fischstäbchen
