But why? Every other streaming service for kids does this for me. YouTube definitely doesn't have anything special enough to warrant any special effort.
Also, they still don't make it easy to lock down to just that content on every platform.
I don't have to worry about this with the PBS Kids app. I know that no matter where it runs it will be safe. My house, grandma's house, whatever.
Same with Netflix Kids. I don't have to worry about it having bad content anywhere my kid figures out how to use it.
It feels strange to me to compare a user-generated content site with a more traditional media platform. And then complain that the former doesn’t work like the latter.
I’ve never really understood how YouTube Kids was even a thing.
There are other things but first thing that comes to mind is tgat Youtube has several orders of magnitude more content than others. Netflix is not a similar service.
Too much work. I'll just watch one of the many other services that do it for me.
