pgbouncer is event based for a reason, they recently added an option to run multiple processes listening on the same socket so that allows it to utilize all available cores.
This is cool. And we expect them to add more and more features if Odyssey will gain traction. It's about the competition.
Finally, it should create enough pressure to make builtin pooler happen.
