Facts aren't neutral; people choose them, and there are infinitely many to select from. If you bring in ammunition for a political argument, and that swerves the thread into a generic political lane, that's bad for HN even if the ammunition is factual. Please don't do that here.
1. A law was passed that meant we take more money than we bring in.
2. When you spend more than you bring in that causes debt.
3. China holds much of our debt.
Which part of that is factually incorrect? I would have made the same comment about a Democratic President.
If you look at my posting history, I routinely bemoan the celebration of unprofitable business models. This is no different.
And below someone had the great idea of printing money. I also responded with facts implying this leads to inflation.
