I'd be interested in joining an effort to design self driving cars and the roads those cars would need. I've had the idea for a while but haven't heard of anyone doing it.

Scania presented this as an idea for long-distance hauling in Sweden and they had a trial of autonomous trucks somewhere north of Falun (?).
