Hi everyone.
I'm looking for good "from the ground up" tutorials on how to get started with Hyperledger Fabric. I've tried using hyperledger-fabric.readthedocs.io as well as https://chainhero.io/2017/07/tutorial-build-blockchain-app/#hyperledger-fabric-certificate-authority-ca.
It's been a bit of a pain to be honest. Most of the configuration is at least somewhat broken just following the directions, and it's always a little disheartening when a guide doesn't "work out of the box". I've been debugging as I go to try and get it all together, but there are quite a few open questions on github of things not working (see "setting up your first network") in the official docs, and in the case of the chainhero site the sdk doesn't pass the integration tests (either with the specified git commits or the master branch). I've done a fair amount of poking around, but this is the best tutorial I could find and there aren't enough stack overflow comments to bootstrap my way to getting their project to compile.
What is especially infuriating is that the hyperledger team has made their github repos read only mirrors of their personal walled-garden repository so there is no 'issues' section. I'm sure that they did this so they didn't get 'bad press' but what it means in principle is that I can't see how people fixed problems they were having getting this deployed! (See here: https://github.com/hyperledger/fabric).
It looks really cool, but I'm having trouble getting started enough that I can make things on my own. If anyone has any suggestions or links to learning resources that work please let me know. I'd love to build something with this, but right now I'm stuck.
