You would need a USB hub that could turn a USB device into two USB device ports, which I don't think exists. (hubs are essentially only a host-side thing).

I still hope a future FFmpeg release will make Intel QSV encoding available on Windows laptops where the manufacturer disabled this capability from the ACPI tables. The only way to use it on these laptops is currently FFmpeg on Linux.

They can't, unfortunately.

Linux's drivers makes that happen, not ffmpeg; ffmpeg merely calls the API.

Intel's own first party drivers simply follow the ACPI tables, Linux ignores them.

Being able to initiate a shell app from a regular remote ssh CLI prompt (like "ApacheConfig myhost.com" or "Editor ~/myrepo") might improve integration with people's existing CLI workflows.

It does need an agent that starts with every X or Wayland session and waits for requests from remote SSH sessions to start an app.

If Unix philosophy is what's keeping systemd from requiring a Microsoft account during install, I'm all for it.

If everything followed the UNIX philosophy then we wouldn't be here, because for opening this single page, or the author's one you need a gigantic and monstrous program like a browser that has a lot of features and functions that the philosophy would forbid.

Why you need systemd for that when you can just enable pam_microsoft_account.so?
