AngularJS + RESTler (PHP) + memSQL

lol, I posted this a week ago on HN and it didn't seem to get any traction. Strange the submission didn't combine on submit seeing how they have the same url. http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5115302

Looks awesome, but not available to Canadians. Why does this keep happening?

There are currently 5 (if I recall correctly) full courses from Stanford on iTunes U for FREE.

The result is accurate. Add a location (ie ontario, Canada) to the end of the query. Not every place has Daylight savings time.

This still says 24 hours for me. Is this different from what you're seeing?

Reminds me of XKCD: http://xkcd.com/936/

I found it more of a reflection on how developers have evolved over the last decade and that the understanding of the code / intricacies on how the languages work are slowly being lost. The tips I guess are aimed at those, hopefully few, that haven't been been programming on the web for the last decade and started with 'copy/paste' style.

Note in the article he mentions not to follow the tips when working on a project for a client where there are deadlines. Instead, apply them to personal projects as learning exercises.

My friend and I discussed this the other week before he launched his app. He had the same concerns.

I always try free ads if they have ads and I like them I go looking for the paid version. When there isn't one I get frustrated. If you're going to put ads, make sure you have a non-ad version.

What he ended up doing was releasing a paid version but ran a special promo where people could get it for free for a limited time. these initial free users will spread the word post reviews and will tell you if they think your price is too high.

Good luck on your launch.

I'm surprised "The Art of Deception: Controlling the Human Element of Security" by Kevin D. Mitnick didn't make the list. (http://www.amazon.com/Art-Deception-Controlling-Element-Secu...)
