If you could fork this and rename to "How Long You've Been Talking Non-stop in this Meeting..." and keep the timeline, I would use it daily.

Same here with Inoreader. Big fan of their service.

Part of the reason you have a problem with the same man making both of those quotes is that the "faster horse" quote was likely not said by Henry Ford.

This looks great and will come in very useful when presenting visual concepts (keep the audience focused).

One suggestion for future improvement would be auto shape snapping. I assume most will use this with a mouse which can result in squiggly, unsightly lines. A number of iOS note taking apps detect a similar shape and snap to straight lines or perfect circles. Hope that helps and thanks for the app.

Thanks for your valuable points. I am currently developing these features and would likely come in the next update. You could easily draw straight lines, arrows, circles, and rectangles.

This has been a key feature in my decision to settle on a primary email provider. With ProtonMail and Tutanota without a true suite of personal organization, I settled on FastMail with the leery eye that it may includes some compromises on privacy. ProtonMail is soon to be releasing their calendar product, though their pricing is a few times more than Tutanota.

Edit: This might be against protocol (I'll delete if so) but I did some further digging

- Why is Protonmail better than Tutanota : https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/b84kd3/why_is_p...

- And, why is Tutanota better than Protonmail: https://www.reddit.com/r/tutanota/comments/b82a05/why_is_tut...

Very interesting.

Neither Tutanota nor Protonmail provide IMAP.

Yea, yea, I know: Protonmail lets you if you pay for this proprietary client app that you then have to install; but come on, it's 2019, even Hotmail provides IMAP.

For some people it's actually useful to have offline access to email and, you know, being able to search their email content.

I mean, the core issue is that IMAP was never really intended to be used in the way that encrypted email works right?

Well, why is Protonmail able to provide IMAP then? (although restricted to paying customers, using proprietary software)[0]

Because they're using a piece of software to bolt stuff on top of IMAP because IMAP by itself was never intended to do what their software is doing

I read yesterday, caveat: while most news was still rumored, that VW would not be permitted to resell the vehicles.

Not permitted by whom? Can the EPA prevent them from re-selling them in Mexico? I would not think so.

The EPA probably can't directly, but the US government has full control over what crosses its borders. If the appropriate government arms decide VW is not allowed to export these cars from the United States intact, that will effectively prevent VW from reselling them elsewhere.

Surely they can resell them outside the EPAs jurisdiction.

VW won't be doing a buyback because they simply decided on their own to do so. It will be part of a deal with the US to settle the case. If the terms include a resale prohibition, VW will have to honor that if they want to keep the case settled.

See my comment to your sibling. The US government, though not necessarily the EPA, can certainly prohibit VW from exporting the affected cars.

Does he need to compete on donations when he has his own billions (debate on amount notwithstanding)? What stops him from funding his own campaign when the remainder of the field are begging for high priced dinner entry fees and donations?

Nothing stops him from funding his own campaign, but the last presidential campaign cost about $5 billion, and most of Trump's money isn't exactly liquid. It's tied up in private corporations and long term deal structures.

I used a Win app called TextPipe. It has a large feature set to wrangle text but the visualization aspect may need another tool.

Moto 360 owner and Microsoft Band.

I won't echo the sentiments of the other comments but you may want to explore the Microsoft Band. It falls short on bluetooth music player. However, whether iPhone, Android or WP, you have cross-integration. Something not afforded by the other main products currently (though, rumored Wear will interface with iOS). The ergonomics of the Band needs minor improvements. The dedicated GPS and range of sensors is mostly in a class of its own. Dedicated GPS is only on the Sony Wear as far as I recall.

> It falls short on bluetooth music player.

That's the #2 function (next to accurate time/timing) I want from my smart watch: bluetooth music without the need for my phone. Dealbreaker without it.

A decent heartrate monitor that works with at least some accuracy when sweating would be amazing and I would pay a decent amount for a watch that also included that, but it isn't a dealbreaker like the bluetooth music without the phone.

I believe the Sony is close to your requirements but not perfect. Wear can support local storage. The Sony is the only Wear on the market that has standalone GPS. The bad news is that heart rate monitoring is not a feature. I can't believe that function was omitted.

> Apple could re-introduce the Newton and Gruber would be writing about it's "elegant simplicity" and "thoughtful processing"

While they have not re-introduced the Newton, his latest podcast mentions the Newton and very similar in tone.
