But this is not about how you, but Microsoft, "the corporation that turns updates into chaos,"introduces RCE bugs. And bugs in general: easy to introduce, by action or inaction, when one has absolutely no concern for user satisfaction.

You didn't specify branding, but I reckon its name is part of the "public API surface design," so: wouldn't `twitter-rs` be a more effective choice? If not for the fact that, despite Mr. Musk's names, people are far more likely to immediately associate `twitter` than `x` with the social network, but also because you'd be less likely to get bug reports for OpenXcom. I'd commend Ukraine for a good grasp of priorities if not for the anachronism: Hasn't Trump abrogated the concept of piracy in order to further AI utopia?

Its not piracy, its intellectual rights multipolarity

Goes to show what happens when we let politicians on charge of anything — worse still, geriatric politicians who wouldn't recognize a operating system if it bit them. I assume they will outlaw open source OSes or custom kernels next? I'd say that arresting the island man's entourage would do more for child's safety than any further stupidity those absolute nincompoops choose to insult our intelligence with next, except for the fact that they know and such absurdities are sleights of hand to avoid doing just that.

I assume that the consequences of OS-level age verification, or DRM or even "golden key" encryption backdoors will be to ban open source operating systems. That would be killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, wouldn't it? Virtually all recent system-level advances were made in open source operating systems.

Trying to grasp is like playing some sort of malice–stupidity 5D chess. Do they realize such a ban would be unenforceable? Even if it were, would they really strive inflict something like Windows Server as the sole foundation of the Internet as a whole? Do they realize that if their wildest surveillance wet dreams came true, everything got the perfect backdoor, the perfect backdoor would be just as perfect for any of their enemies who managed to wield it? If they do realize, do they care? Again, they're not just dinosaurs or politicians, they're both, so who knows.

Embrace, extend, extinguish.

Who lobbies for age verification ? /s

What the heck kind of nightmare dimension have I gotten myself into?

"What on earth can we do for them to drop the subject?"

"Nothing on earth. I guess we could let them know about the green guys."

"Mmm..."

"That was a joke. I'm obviously joking."

"Mmm..."

Thank you. For a post that didn't mention AI and for a refresher on consumer psychology, I do thank you.

Well, you know, someone has to produce original content so the machines have something to steal. (I feel you)

University, is actually the claim; not an institution of higher education (Plato's Academy preceded it by over a millennium), nor necessarily the first degree-granting one — the University of Bologna (1088) seems to be recognized as the first to both call itself a university and to grant degrees.
