Also people compare this to twitch, but for twitch's own gifting system(Bits), streamers get 100% of the bits when they cash out. the 50/50 split for the subscriptions(when a viewer subscribe to a streamer - 3 tiers, the cheapest being $4.99)

You don't buy bits 1 for 1. You pay a premium for bits. if someone spends $100 on bits and sends them all to someone, you don't get $100 in bits.

The default ratio is $1.40 for 100 bits.

And the 50/50 split for subs is only on the web. In the app, it's not a 50/50 split as the subs cost more.

Yes, the streamer gets 100% of the bits, but it's not equal to the $$ amount.

for reddit there's teddit.net

for instagram there was bibliogram.art which unfortunately shut down recently due to instagram's tactics

What did IG do?

Ip block all datacenter ip address ranges effectively

i also keep getting the "you broke reddit" screen (even though it's a 503 so actually reddit broke it, but blaming it on the users?) on old.reddit.com but works on new.reddit.com

is this reddit's not-so-subtle way to stop people from using old.reddit?

old.reddit is the only usable version of reddit. Without that, I'd just stop using reddit entirely.

teddit.net is a good reddit frontend

yeah if you want to actually interact. but 99% of the time I just want to read, and libreddit is perfect for that

i disabled header referrer in firefox's `about:configs` and it works for me

why? i also disabled it thinking it'll make it better

wouldn't it be the same as if someone just copy the link and open it in a new tab/window?

> Product groups

do you mean the people working in product. i.e. PMs?
