Yeah I did the same thing, but new card takes 5-7 days in my case. Very disappointed that I had to find out about this incident here, imagine all the customers who dont happen to look on slashdot or hacker news.

Great to hear that, I switched from heroku to linode a couple of days ago and couldn't be happier. I haven't had to contact the support yet because the documentation is so excellent.

Did the same thing 2 days ago! And cannot stress enough how rewarding the experience was. Although I never heard of Digital Ocean so I chose linode, but I'm also very happy with them so far.

Linode have stackscripts, so you actually could do without Chef with a well structured bash script.

I have asked Digital Ocean about the possibility for Stackscripts, and I don't think they have planned for it, sadly.

It is nice to order a server, choose a stackscript, and have a server to deploy to without even logging in on the instance.

Thanks I think I'm gonna buy that book. I am not looking for algorithmic trading stuff (yet). As I said, I barely know anything about the stock market, main thing is want the resources to be brief and straight to the point. Regards.
