As long as the horse is in the house, has Mozilla ever given any thought to creating its own search service?

I don't know of any actual projects to that end, but certainly people have thought about it. I know from personal conversations that Asa Dotzler in particular has given it some very detailed thought, though I don't know if or where he's written up any of those ideas...

Would there be a point in doing that instead of aligning with, say, DuckDuckGo? They share a primary ideology (an open web that works for everyone), and I imagine much of the Firefox userbase and developerbase (perhaps not a majority, but I'd imagine a significant minority) already uses DDG as their primary search engine.

I believe I have seen the notion pop up once or twice on planet.mozilla and it has been why its not a mozilla project.

At least this way large corporations will start paying more for their bounties.

You can order it in North America from the 2600 store: http://store.2600.com/clubmate.html

Funny there was no mention in the article that they are the eastern distributor what with them being a hacker organization with deep ties to the CCC.

A lot more than that is wrong with capitalism like the fact that no value is given to anything you can't sell.

This company was a client where I used to work and seemed very knowledgable and friendly: http://www.cartika.com Not really the same as DigitalOcean but they offer VPS hosting with data centers in Canada(and US) and they are based in Toronto(or where 2 years ago, they grew quite big since then)

Been thinking about this since Asus came out with a laptop with an air ionizer in 2008.

I use :Ex(plore) It's not great but it gets the job done.

It might be because when you live in paradise money does not have the same value and productivity does not limited to renumerated work.

There's something to hate in all programming languages but hate can almost be seen as a popularity metric.

If you are expecting faster speeds you will likely be disappointed, you're still going through the network you're on.
