It is like building custom software from Lego components and it will be easier to learn by using Lego components as opposed to building Lego components. The end result of effort of coding will be custom business application which can help veterans land job. Please contact us by using email found in my profile.

I recall that before unification(in West Berlin) S-Bahn trains used to be older and U-Bahn trains were newer. I do not know current state of comparison between U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains.
The DB bought newer cars in the late 1990s, the class 481. But this class had a lot of issues, which could be mitigated by better maintenance but since the DB wanted to go public those costs were too high, so they cut spending on maintenance.
And so the 481 will be replaced by the 483 and 484.
It will be difficult for the countries to agree to dump time zones. If they agree then adjustment of computer systems will need effort similar to Y2K effect.

What are the main factors which encourage (and are helpful) non-programmers to use SQL ?
We provide low code platform (SQL) to organize data and build custom applications as per specific workflow requirements. We are assuming that teaching/educating/training combined with lots of sample SQL code with real world examples are helpful to non-programmers for using SQL.
My guess would be that there is a lot of interesting public data available in SQL/CSV/Excel formats. If a journalist can browse that data efficiently they can probably find some interesting stories and leads.
You can try our Point and Click platform (http://MyDataOrganizer.com) for building custom business applications as per your workflow requirements.
Out of the box team based security can be immediately used and custom security with encryption for sensitive data is also available in addition to basic CRUD.
Use of spreadsheets results into many problems when team-size sharing spreadsheet becomes bigger.
I have created summary of comparing spreadsheet with web application using online database at the following link.
Major items are security, multi-user experience, encryption/decryption of sensitive data, auditing/change-history, workflow-requirements etc. For simple work in a smaller team environment spreadsheets work fine.
