I haven't used JetBrains but when I looked at editors a few years ago VSCode had an awful bug where if you had a Mac with a 4K external monitor it would flicker every time you typed a letter. It made VSCode functionally unusable for me. I use VSCode part time and overall find it less intuitive than the Nova UI/UX. Plus every time I have a problem Mike from Panic responds fairly promptly, and they've been responsive to some feature requests for things like debugging node inside Docker containers.
I had similar issues with Safari a few years ago. The situation has vastly improved as most modern sites detect for FIDO2 support instead of just scanning your browser agent.
This happened to me and I sent a notice to Upwork's legal department demanding a takedown. Using my likeness to make money is a violation of Massachusetts Right of Publicity law (https://www.dmlp.org/legal-guide/massachusetts-right-publici...) so I would be entitled to any profits made by Upwork for using my likeness. It is possible and likely your jurisdiction may have similar laws, and if your likeness is being used, do not hesitate to deploy them to expedite these takedowns.
When it comes to controlling costs, reducing quality is one of the few levers we have. When it comes to developing software the trade-off we're making is usually not whether we make low or high-quality software, but whether we make low quality or no software.

The founder of the first start-up I worked for around 2006 told me that most of the money and network was centered around Harvard. It was difficult to get funding as a non-Harvard alum.
