Welcome to reality. The whole "google is ethical" is a mantra they've always said to attract naive programmers like you. The point is for anything unethical but profitable in any way, someone else will end up doing it anyway so why not do it yourself.
Morals only work at the scale of a closed society (be it a full country), not at the scale of the world.
To be fair, once upon a Time they did make the decision to pull out of a very profitable and growing China. And their competitors didn't, they are still there helping evil. Once upon a time, Google genuinely did put values above profit - maybe not perfectly, but certainly with significant
and meaningful impact to their business. Once upon a time anyway.
So criminals and "not yet developped" people living inplaces where they dont have a good banking systemp but are somehow educated enough to use bitcoin.
Actually the people living in underbanked areas are pretty well served by mobile payment systems.[1]
Of course that's not completely anonymous and can't necessarily be used for dodgy stuff (there are certain KYC requirements) but it seems to server the developing world a whole lot better than crypto currencies.
"Front national" people are not exactly "crazy".. on the racist / bigot side but mostly working class people scared for their wallet / culture. They wouldnt exacly go evangelise peopne like that
Also work on being more at ease. "Limiting human interaction" is a bad route to go down to.
And finally on a positive note: learn to love your anxiety. Listen to what it says to you, knowing that its will ultimately help u do things better. People with no anxiety dont do things well. Learn to use it and master it to be better. Dont run from it
