As tired as I am of the lack of improvement in Dropbox and the most of my nag-mails being warnings about my inactive Dropbox storage reaching "dangerous lows", I can't help be frustrated at how much the equivalent virtual drives from Apple and Microsoft suck, even today.

Its the only video game developer that didn't ruin their franchises with bullshit so far, they have stuck around in the industry with a good reputation for quality for 40 years for this reason. No other developer has stayed around that long with consistent quality sequels.
Almost every other big video game developer deserves to get fucked over much harder for ruining their franchises with cheap sequels and adding endless micro transactions and pay to win everywhere.
There are already some sites where you're much better off if you have an old account. Like I have a super old Twitter sitting there for random stuff that requires it. I tried making a new one a few years ago, didn't post anything, and it got banned within 2 days for "bot activity." The old one has never been banned.
It was also so much easier to make a dating app profile back when I was single, like one click. Recently was watching a friend set one up, and now they not only want like 3FA but also proof that you're a human. Assuming the old accounts are grandfathered in.
I'm not super optimistic about it, and last I saw, Apple wasn't a part of it either.
