So even with the NSA helping secure Microsoft Windows, there's still lots of vulnerabilities being found in it all the time.

wow

I'm using SpiderOak which gives you 2GB free, but you can get an additional 1GB for each free referral, for a total of up to 5GB free. You get a 'zero-knowledge knowledge environment' (everything's encrypted on the client-side before upload, and they can't even see the file names or other meta-data). You can use an unlimited number of devices, sync folders between machines, no special 'dropbox' folder is required, share folders with others, and use their web interface (though I'm not sure what the implications of using that are on the 'zero-knowledge environment'...I don't know how they've designed that).

Have you ever seen a social bird?

"I have a low tolerance for greedy people trying to use ideas for their benefit rather than societies."

Generally the most sustainable way to benefit yourself is by benefiting society...produce a product/service people will buy (which they buy because it achieves some end at a cost they're willing to pay).

Sure, but look at what those companies will do to stay in a strong position. I know Microsoft is an extreme example but look at the damage they did in the last year: OOXML, sabotaging OLPC, FUD in general...

There's an open source implementation of Silverlight, called Moonlight:

http://www.mono-project.com/Moonlight

I've never used it before, so I don't know how well it works or anything.

I don't actually want to use a proprietary tool like Silverlight, or an open reimplementation, but I appreciate the effort to make the comment.

Thanks.
