Under any current / capitalist system by design it won’t be different because managers/capital want to increase gains, which contradicts allowing you to keep the gains.
it's telling that he only sees effectiveness in what he wants. these rules are there for environmental protection, and in a worst case scenario, a fine is not gonna bring back the clean soil, or whatever was done.
The immediate no for scientific collaborations is zotero support being paid only. If it was just one user, sure they could decide to pay. But no way I am convincing others to sign up. (If this is somehow possible without paying while not ‚syncing‘ it’s not obvious)
If the project owner has paid for pro, all collaborators can use the pro features in the project.
Zotero sync is just a .bib file that updates itself regularly, so if you don't want to pay, you have to upload the .bib file or past the new entries manually.
LOL no. Here right wingers just want to defund higher ed and control what they do. None of which will help with quality of output. (and those rankings are largely useless anyway) they don’t want more educated ppl, because they blame education for what they see wrong with society and would undermine their base. (Like how there’s claims that unis make people leftist or similar )
To blame are employers but also politicians and Uni admin staff enabling the narrative that a degree should always be about employable skills. First employers often eintreten know what they need and in general this focus on practice is exactly what promotes roteness imo
Among the many things the current US admin has shown us, is that you can ignore many laws they disagree with. It does take some measure of personal accountability to do the right thing at present, especially if you hold the only evidence of rules having been broken. Things like that deserve recognition.
