It’s not real money, there’s no check being written for that amount and then deposited into someone’s bank account.

> I can open my website in the Cursor in-app browser and just click and reference stuff.

I’ve never used cursor and have only seen it in a couple work lunch and learn demos. I’ve never seen that feature. I have a lot of use cases where I’m asking cc to move a widget down a little bit or make a data table full width etc. Being able to reference the actual UI would be useful.

I got an old hp elitedesk off of eBay, I don’t remember the cpu but it has 8 gig of ram and an ssd. Ubuntu+dokku and it runs all my self hosted stuff.

Isn’t Oprah Winfrey the left’s beloved billionaire and the one who actually “earned it”? I wonder if AOC would say Oprah is unethical and immoral.

Edit: I’d like AOC to publicly say Taylor Swift is unethical and immoral too. Heh the swifties would have her head over that.

Funny that it use to be the millionaires everyone hated. I guess there are too many millionaires these days and vilifying them means turning yourself or someone you know into the villain. That’s probably a little too uncomfortable.

Well, I would reframe it. A comfortable retirement nest egg is now over a million in most parts of the US, and the people who used to rail against millionaires were never intending to argue that people shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy a comfortable retirement.

Inflation has made so many "millionaires" (8% of US households), and at the same rendered it a meaningless title - a salaried worker who paid off their 30 year mortgage and has a little in their 401k is quite likely to cross the million net worth threshold.

A million is hardly buying mansions, yachts, and champagne-filled swimming pools in the current economy

This is a truth that many are having a hard time accepting. Getting shoved into the light so fast is blinding.

We understand what you’re claiming, we just think that you are wrong.

Man I’m using the $20/month sub and it works just fine for me. Granted, I have a family and house and lots of obligations so by the time I hit the limits some other task is due before I can return to coding. If I hit the limits before I have something else to do then I just code by hand or review what has been generated until I can use the agent again. Reviewing agent code is a good way to learn too, agents have shown me different approaches than what I would have done and they’re definitely worth thinking about. Also, fixing their mistakes has helped me write better prompting although being a team lead for half a decade has taught me how to specify what I want very clearly and cc gets it right most of the time haha

About interruptions, one thing AI assisted coding really helps with is coding with constant interruption. I can leave CC for half an hour and return then tell it I had to step away, catch me up, and proceed. This works well for me.

You need a fission bomb to ignite a fusion bomb btw.

From what I’ve read this is just export restrictions. Anthropic is cutting off access to all users for the PR.

Some people are very susceptible to bullying even if they’re in the position of power.
